Denise Bergh, Board Treasurer
Denise is a local Mother of two boys. She has been navigating the world of Autism since her youngest was diagnosed at 19 months old. Her son has experienced the Early Intervention System, District 58 Preschool, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Feeding Therapy, Social Skills Groups, Special Needs Swimming Lessons, S.A.S.E.D. Stars program and extensive ABA.
Denise has attended numerous Autism related conferences educating herself on everything from traditional therapies to special diets to chiropractic care for children with Autism. Denise is passionate about nutrition and clean living. She loves spending time in the kitchen creating nutrient dense recipes for her children. Denise started a local support group for Mothers of children with Autism and serves as a volunteer mentor for the local TACA chapter.
Denise graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana with a B.S. in Psychology. Denise has over 16 years of professional experience as Office Manager, Full Charge Bookkeeper and Executive Assistant. She joined Behavioral Perspective Inc. in May 2014 as a Parent Liaison to provide support to parents as well as perform community outreach, organize events and provide guidance on outside resources and complimentary therapies. Denise currently serves as Director of Community Engagement for Behavioral Perspective Inc. Denise is excited to lend her expertise to help ABLE Academy achieve its mission!
